Summer 2005

Quick Tip:

Tommy Hyche from Michelin said, "In order to reinforce [MoveSMART] trainings, we made t-shirts for our department. Every Thursday is MoveSMART Day and we wear the t-shirts and teach 2 classes (about 3 hours each) with 6-8 people in each class... Myself and one other trainer also made a MoveSMART bulletin board about 3 weeks before we started the training...it was good pre-advertising because people were curious about what it was."

We've had reports that other companies have made bumper stickers and slide shows to reinforce the MoveSMART training. Please feel free to contact us if you have other good ideas for reinforcement that we can share with other instructors.

Robert Pater's column,
The Safety Catalyst: Profiling a Boeing MoveSMART instructor.

Dave Brueher may have changed physically, but his passion for safety is steadfast and inspirational.

Dave Brueher is a fraction of the person he used to be—and it’s all for the better.
Knowing that being overweight was neither good for him nor a support to the safety and health message he sought to inspire, Brueher dropped to 235 pounds from his former 372-pound frame.
