MoveSMART: Advancing Strength & Control
Dynamics of Safe Handling, Lifting, and Carrying

Updated Advancing Strength and Control Course a Success!

Our revised Advancing Strength and Control Instructor-catalyst training course was recently delivered to a group of seasoned IAM/Boeing Instructors. On the first day several participants reported training over a thousand people in basic MoveSMART principles and techniques (one participant reported training over five thousand people).

The "MoveSMART: Advancing Strength and Control" module is designed for previously certified MoveSMART Instructor-Catalysts and takes the principles of our core MoveSMART module to a higher level. The course is packed with our latest developments in demonstrations, techniques, and work practice applications. In addition, participants learn innovative techniques, applications, reinforcement strategies, and concepts. Our objective is to build on the foundation of skills and information Instructor-Catalysts learned in the core Strength and Control module and provide them with new, powerful tools and strategies (including physical, attention, and judgment tactics) for reducing handling injuries. Although we continuously work to refine and upgrade our training and processes, significant improvements to the Advancing Strength and Control training process make MoveSMART more powerful than ever before.
